So what are the other search engines besides Google and how
much of the market do they own? In the SEO stuff I read I almost
get the impression that field is only focused on Google, these
SEO types talk about the google dance and come up with special
code names for when google changes ranking methods.
I'd love to see the data outside my own weblogs, but I wonder
if the others own even 5% of the market. Of course nothing is
set in stone and Google can become the next Altair - but do
the other top engines use meta tags, and are of those who do
which ones will be around next year?
When I heardthe rumors that Microsoft wanted to buy Google at
that point in my mind that sort of seemed to make them the only
game in town. But I'm hardly an SEO expert - so I'd like to
hear more about who else is out there - and more importantly
who is on the rise...
