[webproducers] Re: html vs text

I know there are some companies and educational organizations that do not
accept HTML emails because of the increased risks of viruses and to reduce
the amount of storage/bandwidth needed.

HTML emails appear to be more successful in increasing click through because
of their graphic nature (picture's worth a thousand words).

My recommendation would be to offer the people who sign up a choice (choice
is a good thing) about the newsletter format.

Subject: [webproducers] html vs text

Got a question, I keep reading that HTML newsletters and e-amils are more
successful than text e-mails but I can't find any hard data or sources for
this info.

Don't worry it's not a spam thing it's for a friend who has a financial
company and insurance business and his customers signup for periodic product
updates and news from him.

Has anyone seen any info on this?

Thanks,

Morry
