Most of the statistics I've found show that only a very small % of people
can't/don't accept HTML but even so the plan is to offer it in a way that
doesn't alienate anyone. Also to deal with bandwidth some host suggest
hosting the images etc. on a server so when people get the e-mail it doesn't
hog up the mail server. Once the e-mail is in your e-mail client and you
open it then it downloads the stuff. We're not sure what we're doing yet
but we know the size is only 3k so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
The big thing for me is to find acutal statistics that indicate how much
more successful html is over text like is it 10%, 50%, 80%? If it's not
that much better than maybe we should just go text and have a link to the
website with more info.
