Producer (Project) - Social Studies
Description
Through online learning and multimedia tools, students of all ages,

the largest pre-K through 12th grade publisher in the U.S. and a leading
global provider of educational materials and professional information.
The Media Technology group of McGraw-Hill Education has an immediate
opening for a Producer - Social Studies to work in-house on a project basis.
This position is contractual, for the term of the assigned project.
Individual will assist in the direction, development, and production of
Social Studies media/technology projects. Will manage vendor relationships,
evaluate vendor performance, quality of work, and compliance with project
specifications. Communicate problem areas as necessary. Execute projects on
time and on budget. Analyze project proposals and develop implementation
plan, using a market-focused strategy. Manage vendor contracts and invoicing
on assigned projects. Write and edit content as required. Ensure that all
permissions issues are cleared with Production department prior to product
launch. Manage all costs to ensure that project meets budget target.
Communicate any potential problems to manage expectations within assigned
business unit. Assist in solving programming and design issues that may
jeopardize schedules.
Qualifications
The minimum requirements for this position are as follows: Bachelor's
degree is required, with 3-5 years of publishing or media experience. A
major in a Social Studies related field (i.e. history, geography) is
preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as
organizational skills are a must. Must have experience with CD-ROM
Production and developing and/or production of websites. Should be
proficient in project management. Must be proficient with Microsoft office
product suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel).
