[webproducers] Re: Person/Task Hours/Project Tracking Software

I used the timer application that came with Quickbooks, pretty extensively
over the last couple years. I already had set up the tasks I performed (ie.,
HTML coding, information architecture consulting) and their costs, and the
projects and the tasks needed to create them (when I created the estimate
for the project) and by using the timer, I could do my billing, compare and
contrast the accuracy of my estimates, and run great reports about what I
spending my time on, which really helped me maintain the one person
consultancy I was running.

Subject: [webproducers] Person/Task Hours/Project Tracking Software

Hi there,

I'm working for a two person consulting company that is involved with
7-10 projects at a time. Does anyone know of any software to help track
the time spent on each task for each project? I'd love to be able to
drag down a menu item that would list all the current projects and
tasks so that I can log my time.

For instance, while proposal writing for client A the phone rings and
client B has a 1 hour question about a contract... I want to be about
to click and drag down client B/contract until the call is over and
then go back to proposal writing for client A... At the end of the week
I would print out a time sheet that would log all the activity and then
I can bill clients appropriately.

Does this exist? I think I saw a Palm app that does this but I have no
idea what it's called.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew
