[webproducers] Re: Looking for some help

I am in the same boat actually. I used to work for a development company,
and now am in the security industry as a consulting engineer for network
video surveillance, but have a small design business on the side.

In the design business I am starting to transcend just design and have many
requests for web marketing (eblasts, newsletters and such). Anyone have any
good resources to look up on for planning, pricing, and strategy?

As for Jax,

Good Ideas, but one thing Most of my users hate is too much flash. Integrate
flash into the sections that can use it, and just use well formed XHTML, CSS
and even jQuery in the others. Usability beats fancy design any day.

Just my .02

Stuff should load faster too.

Good ideas, Jax.

nicotine: I would consider removing the skyscraper background and just
having a solid color. The skyscrapers are distracting. This would be a
fast, easy way to make the sales message clearer.

Marketingdesignsinc has a lot of nifty ideas -- maybe a few too many -
they seem to be making the site sluggish (in Chrome, at least). Also,
the navigation needs to be reviewed, I got stuck in some blind alleys.

Just my quick thoughts. Good luck with money. It's a crappy time to earn
money in this down economy but it's shaping up to be a great time to get
government money for college. On the great side, you have terrific
domain names. They should help the marketing if the SEO is sound.

For the future's sake,
Glenn
