I am forwarding this note for a friend. They are a small start-up business that
is looking for a reputable and reliable boutique/small web design and
development (front and back-end) firm to develop a new consumer site and daily
newsletter for women. At a high-level project components include a daily push
email newsletter, site with entries in blog form, community features (ie. user
forums, profiles).
Potential vendors must have experience with MoveableType and/or Expression
Engine, newsletter development and email service provides (e.g. Constant
Contact, My Emma), and user forums. You must be able to show a portfolio of
successful site launches using these technology. Experience designing sites
targeted to women a plus. This will be a complex project and fee will match
complexity. We will pay on a per hour (with cap) or per project basis. Total
pay will be based on ultimate scope of project, as well as reaching project
milestones. We will expect you to deliver project to completion - half done
work doesn't help us. They have an aggressive deadline. Target rollout date for
Phase 1 beta site is end of first quarter, 2009. There is also potential
opportunity for ongoing maintenance and support role. Looking for
recommendations from the list regarding anyone you may have worked with that
fits the bill above. I will forward the recommendations.
Thanks!
