A colleague of mine is hiring for his firm, a small outfit in Takoma Park,
Maryland called Interface Multimedia.  They're looking for a Senior Designer
(project manager) and an Interactive Designer.  I promised I'd pass these
along.

Senior Designer
Senior Designers must be able to lead and direct small teams. Strong client
skills are required. Senior Designers also perform a mentorship role guiding
other designers on the direction of projects and the creative process
involving the latest design technologies. 

Responsibilities: Senior Designers work under the guidance of the Creative
Director. They develop concepts, create presentation materials, and execute
final production for 3D virtual environments. Senior Designers must have
strong verbal communication skills, especially for presentations and work
sessions with clients. Works with IFM staff to ensure that projects meet IFM
standards of excellence and are produced on time and within budget. 

Qualifications: A Senior Designer is a college graduate with a design degree
(B.A./M.A. Design; formal training in interior design, environmental design,
interactive design, architectural design, landscape design or other creative
disciplines) who has two to four years of project management experience.
Design experience in other interactive media like web or interactive cd-rom
is desirable.


Interactive Designer
Help us shape our clients' experience across multiple channels: we are
seeking an interaction designer with broad web experience who is looking to
extend the role of interactive media environments.

Responsibilities: Interactive Designers work under the guidance of the
Senior Design Partner and are responsible for the creation and direction of
systems architecture. Individual is responsible for the implementation of
kiosk, web  and CD-ROM  presentation media.

Qualifications: Software prototyping skills such as (D)HTML, Java,
Javascript, cgi, Macromedia Director/Shockwave/Flash, C++ and Visual Basic
preferred. Leadership skills, vision and awareness of trends and
opportunities across the domain required. 


Financial Associate
Responsibilities: Position will include management of financial operations
including: Invoicing, A/R, Unbilled Project Tracking Reports, A/P, P&L
analysis and research, and Payroll. Some human resource functions, database
management, and purchasing tasks will be required.

Qualifications: Candidates must have strong administrative and analytical
skills. Candidates must have 5 years experience in similar position managing
the inner workings of a small business.  BS/BA, MBA degree preferred.
