UK at Bath and Oxford as well as our office in Providence RI.

The role:

The producer is the technical consultant and project manager involved in the
entire client life cycle.  The challenge of the role is to maximize both the
profitability of the sale and customer satisfaction, through pre-sales
technical consultancy and needs analysis, specification and project
management, and advising on future product development.

We can offer you a good mix of interesting and challenging work across the
full project life cycle and the opportunity to tackle some complex business
and technological issues at the heart of online information businesses.

o Technical pre-sales support
· Provision of internal consultancy, sales support and leadership on Ingenta
Connect
· Attending and presenting at meetings with prospects and clients where
relevant
· Advising new business team (and/or client) on appropriate solutions for
clients
· Providing consultancy to clients to help resolve issues concerning data,
technology or business models
· Creating proposal summary documents
· Writing technical sections of proposals if required
· Estimating and costing
· Checking proposals for risk areas

o Post Sales Support
· Project management through to implementation
· Providing consultancy to clients on product development
· Change/develop request management and ongoing communication with clients
through the process
· Resource scheduling
· Liaising between sales, client and technical staff

The requirements:

As this is a challenging cross-disciplinary role, a combination of skills is
more important than experience in any particular area, although some
relevant experience would be a distinct advantage.  It is likely that you
will have at least 2 years work experience in a professional environment, be
degree qualified and possess the following skills:

· Intelligent, self starter, motivated to deliver value in all you do
· Able to solve problems and explain complex problems to others, both verbal
and written
· Outgoing, professional and at ease meeting new people
· Organised and methodical
· Perform well under pressure and enjoy rising to new challenges
· Interest in technology with some experience
