Community Connect Inc. has an immediate opening for a talented and 
self-motivated Producer to join a fun, energetic, ethnic, and established 
Internet Company located in the Flatiron District of NYC. Community Connect 
Inc. is the parent company of AsianAvenue.com, BlackPlanet.com, and MiGente.com 
and is the #1 leading publisher of online communities. 

 

We build tools that enable people to form relationships, communicate, and 
attain information on community activities. Our online sites are committed to 
making it easier for people of similar backgrounds and interests to establish 
relationships, gain access to important information and services, and 
participate in community activities. These sites provide end-users with a new 
and dynamic medium through which instant communication and networking can 
occur. Community Connect Inc. sites have become an integral part of members' 
lives both online and offline.

 

JOB PURPOSE: To produce and project manage beyond the banner 
campaigns/initiatives that were sold by the sales team.  80-90% of the job 
involves producing direct marketing projects including CPA deals and 
newsletters.  The remaining 10% includes producing sponsorship deals and new 
advertising vehicles.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

·        Generates screenflows for projects and works with SPT Design to create 
mock-ups.

 

·        Produces, monitors & maintains sponsored areas that are not part of 
the sites' core content areas.  Produces all beyond the banner projects 
initiated by Sales.

 

·        Coordinates with the Site Teams to ensure maximum integration of Sales 
resources and assets into content and community initiatives.  (Example: HP 
provides prizes for a community contest.).

 

·        Familiarity with Web production and with web publishing concepts, 
practices, and procedures.

 

·        Provides campaign updates to appropriate sales rep.

 

·        Visits websites to gather information on interesting, effective ad 
vehicles and sellable tools.  Lead implementation of new ad vehicles to the 
sites.

 

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  a.. Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested in a timely 
manner.
  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  a.. Familiarity with Web production and with commonly-used concepts, 
practices, and procedures.
  b.. Project management experience.
  c.. Basic HTML knowledge.
  d.. Flexibility-- may have to stay late on occasion to meet project deadlines.
  e.. Strong conceptual and strategic skills with an ability to turn words and 
data into organized, compelling and intuitive on-line advertising programs.


  a.. Keen sense of developing new Advertising Vehicles, yet maintaining 
industry standards set by IAB (if you do not  know what IAB is, do not consider 
applying for position).
 

·         Exceptional editorial or writing background necessary to translate 
sales messages into elegant and elaborate marketing opportunities.

 

  a.. Experience in online *or traditional* Ethnic Media a plus.
 

·         College degree

  a.. Able to meet aggressive deadline targets for assigned campaigns and for 
developing advertising and Internet presentations
  b.. Ability to balance member experience and strict advertising ROI 
goals-able to demonstrate a proven track record in this area.
