I describe the role as a football coach (motivate and direct the
team), translator (get those tech and creative and business people
understanding each other), and rodeo clown(when the bulls start
charging you take it for the team). I want examples of how the
candidate fills those roles. This is after I make sure they have the
organizational, technical and pm chops for the role.
The other part of of is I want to see how they solve problems. Chances
are you'll be faced with situations or challenges that are new. I try
to get an understanding of how they approach new situations and use
past experience or knowledge to come up with new solutions.
