Depending upon the projects and industry that you are in may allow you to
have a standard rate card per specific projects/tasks (below) based on your
process and best practices on how long these projects take:
- standard banners
- landing pages (with simple flash)
- rich media
- Html web-site with 4 pages (design and production)
In writing your Statement of work; you should definitely have some budget
restraints and assumptions (client revisions, +/-% of total budget, and more)
to
cover your backside.
However, if you are going to be held accountable for the budget and the
profitability of a project; you should put together documentation to your
company
proving this is not the best solution. With the current economic situation,
profit margin keeps companies afloat especially if you are hiring freelancers
as you need to be in the black to keep paying freelancers.
