[webproducers] Career Change into Web Producing.........

Hello.
New member here. I'd like to share a story and ask some beginnerish
questions:

I recently created a blog on the furniture design scene in Brooklyn, NY. I
did this purely to learn and connect with furniture makers in my area, not
expecting anything work related from it. The blog is called:
brooklynmodern.com <http://brooklynmodern.wordpress.com/>.

An interesting thing happened after the site went up: I was contacted by a
furniture magazine to interview for a position as a web producer/editor. To
be honest, I really didn't even know such a career existed. I interviewed
for the position and then had to test for writing skills and creating a
shooting board for a web video. I am still waiting to hear back.

I am trained as an advertising art director. My experience is more in the
"content" creation area. I am very proficient with most of the Adobe design
packages and film editing programs. My web design/programming skills are
very limited.

*My question are:
1. Do webproducers create content?
2. What technical skills are essential for web producing? **CSS, Flash, XML,
FinalCut Pro? (It appears that a lot of the discussion on the boards focuses
on information architecture.)
3. Can anyone recommend a headhunter for someone trying to break into the
field?

*Best,
Gerald
