Job Title: Custom Research Analyst
Location: NYC
Description:
JupiterResearch is the leading research and advisory company focused
on the Internet and emerging consumer technologies.
A Custom Research analyst works with clients to develop structured,
detailed research and analysis in response to a variety of client-
specific business development issues: market entry, competitive
landscape, product/service development, market projections, etc.
Collaborates with syndicated analysts (domain experts in topics such
as financial services, online advertising, online travel, Web site
operations, etc) and data analysts to design and write research
reports and work directly with key clients as a trusted advisor and
thought leader.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years' experience in a technology consulting or market
research and analysis role
Proven experience or consulting experience in online product or
service development, online strategy, marketing and/or business
development for online technologies and businesses
Strong client relationship and project management skills are
critical
Proven oral and written communication skills
Strong analytic ability (critical thinking & data analysis)
Ability to articulate and substantiate strong point of view,
especially via data such as consumer & executive surveys,
forecasting, Web traffic/viewing/readership analysis.
Some experience in directing sales and business development efforts
(responding to RFPs and sales inquiries, generating leads) is
preferred.
Expertise in multiple research techniques (interviewing,
executive/consumer surveying, vendor profiling, market forecasting)
is preferred.
Media Analyst
Location: NYC
Description:

written and oral -- that represents superior analytical, strategic,
tactical and creative thinking skills. The ideal candidate will have:
Two to five years experience in business development, programming or
marketing media properties (TV, film, music, print, media
consulting); online experience essential
Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytic ability
(critical thinking & data analysis)
Able to articulate and substantiate strong point of view, especially
via data (consumer & executive surveys, forecasting,
traffic/viewing/readership analysis)
Poised and authoritative presence when speaking to senior executives
and the press
Stature as or aspiration to be a thought leader in interactive media
