If you have a Windows 10 repro can you file a problem report with Media Issues
traces and share a direct link?

All versions…
in fact it seems to be a problem of format negotiation in exclusive mode…
or a problem of streaming in share mode… will take a deeper look on this soon…

Subject: [wdmaudiodev] Realtek Optical output and WASAPI issue ?
Hello,
Is there a known issue with Realtek Optical output
in multichannel mode (5.1, 7.1, Dolby Digital) ?
It seems using it with WASAPI is generating a bad sound or non continuous
sound...
Any experience on this ?
