  That also means we can have a camp fire.  Bring firewood if you have some.

  I just called the park to check on the burn ban - and it is not in effect! 
Yea! We can cook with charcoal as long as someone is closely watching the fire 
at all times, and it is completely extinguished when we're through. There is 
still a lot of dead cedar around, and we must be very careful.

   

  Also the river level is fine for kayaking. Although the North Llano River is 
dry, the South Llano is flowing well. You can put in at the park and take out 
in town. Or put in below the park and take out in the park. 

   

  She said we might want to call again right before we come up, just to be sure 
about the fires, as things can change quickly.
