Check this one out folks! Got this from Shawn Bass. I have verified this is
NOT a Hoax
Jim
For those that haven't heard about this yet apparently Microsoft has started
a viral marketing campaign to give away a free copy of Vista and/or Office
2007 Pro. You can sign up at www.powertogether.com
Here's the caveats:
1) You can not work for a company that is a Microsoft Partner or MSDN
subscriber.
2) I've heard rumors that it's US-based only.
3) You have to sit through 3 hours of websites for each product (6
hours total).
4) The software is a gift and you'll be responsible for paying taxes
on the face value of the product(s).
I personally wouldn't go through all of that, but I figured some of you may
have family members that fit the criteria and want a free copy of Office
(since it sure does cost a lot).
BTW, there's a lot of things floating out there that people believe this is
a hoax, but it has been confirmed by several Microsoft employees.
Enjoy!
