Hi, Roberta: Be sure that you are in Basic HTML view instead of standard view (press control plus f to use the JAWS virtual find command and type "basic html", followed by enter. Don't include the quotation marks). Once you are in the right view, press x and you'll go to the first email; you'll be told who it's from and that it isn't checked. If you want to read the email, press down arrow until you hear the first few words of the email; at the end of those words it will say "link". Press enter to get to that link. Once there, press control plus f. Type "Original" (without the quotes) and press enter. Press the down arrow to read the rest of the message line by line. To get back to the inbox, press alt plus i, or press alt plus left arrow twice. The next time you press x, you'll see who the next email is from. If you choose to delete an email, press the space bar when JAWS tells you that the email is not checked. Once you've been through all the emails and have checked those you don't want, press control plus f and type "delete" (again, without the quotes); press enter. As long as you haven't opened any of the emails while checking those you wanted to delete, you now just have to press the space bar and all the emails you chose to delete should be gone. There's much more to know about gMail's use, but those are a few basics. If anyone knows of better ways to do things, please let me know. Let me know if this is helpful, Roberta. If so, I can give you some more hints as you need them.
