[visionrehabtherapist] Re: Very Accurate Talking Scale

regarding this scale that talks in English, Spanish, French, and German....what
is wrong with the Chinese that they think we need all these options when they
manufacture this product? All I want is one simple-to-use, English speaking
scale, that tells me I am beautiful and that I should go get myself a cookie...

I have the Superior talking scale from ILA which can talk in English, Spanish
and some have French and German and people who do not want to use speech or
want to use metric system weight can have those options. Although the scale may
vary in figures, it is not a significant difference and my rule of thumb is
that if I get a reading (I don't like) I try it more than once and when I get
two readings to match, that's the figure I use. It's capable of weighing up to
440 pounds.

Hello, We have recently used the Reizen talking weight scale from MaxiAids,
item #1502671, price $59.95 and according to the 2 clients who have used it, it
works accurately. This is the first scale that we have found that gives a
consistent weight; for years we didn’t order them because of the inconsistency
of the weights. HTH, Lynne Luxton

Subject: [visionrehabtherapist] Very Accurate Talking Scale

Does anyone have a recommendation for a brand of a talking scale that is very
accurate? I use one that gives different weights, varying by several pounds,
each time I step onto it during a five minute time period. I know personal
scales have some error, but I am wondering if anyone knows of one with less
error than 2-3 pounds.
Thanks very much for thoughts.
