Regarding the detection of events on the parallel port,
I have put a small document and a testing software at:
http://www.pallier.org/ressources/timelpt/timelpt.html
This software could be used to test the accuracy of detection of parallel
port events, by Vision-egg or any other stimulus presentation software.
It requires two PC and a laplink parallel to parallel port cable.
I also included a small C program for Linux, which detects parallel port
triggers. As I report in the paper, I experienced some small latencies in
the timing under Linux (with a rather old kernel 2.2.13).
I hope someone could try it with visionegg and report the results on this
list. Else, could someone provide me with a visioneg script which, say,
displays one picture per seconds, and record reaction times (from the
parallel port); then I could test it.
