To do this kind I things, I typically use the command line utility 'stats' (or 'desc -h') from the "pipestat" package
(cf. http://www.acm.org/~perlman/stat/). I would modify the previous program to print all latencies, and pipe the output in 'stats'.


However, these statistics (mean, stdev...) latency are not really helpful. Rather, it is the probability of getting an unacceptable latency for the typical duration of a trial (to be defined by the experimenter) which matters.
