It looks like you don't have the latest CVS version installed, which 
adds the put_sub_image_pil function.  Hopefully you can get CVS working 
on Windows-- I use the cygwin tools to get a unix command line 
(including CVS) when I use Windows, but I have heard that "WinCVS" is 
good.  I will send you (off-list) a recent CVS snapshot in case you 
can't get CVS working.
