Hi Andrew,
What a lovely piece of work VisionEgg is. I've been programming with it for
a few months now, and I think I've come up against a question I can't figure
out the answer to -- and maybe for which there really is no solution at
present.
In: 2. Hierarchy of graphical objects (in the Programmer's Manual), it says:
> Currently, the Vision Egg supports only a single screen (window). However, it
> is designed to run simultaneously in multiple screens, so once this capability
> is available (in SDL 2, hopefully), the following priciples will continue to

Do you have any ideas for possible kludges until then?
In particular, I'd like to present stimuli in a pair of VR goggles, where
the goggle hardware accepts two separate SVGA signals, one for left, one for
right. The machine for presenting the stimulus uses a two external video
cards on a G4 (MacOS 10.2) to drive the displays. I'm just wondering if
there's any (even kludgy) way to coax VisionEgg to display on two monitors
simultaneously.
In fact, even getting it to switch its screen (window) from one monitor to
the other (leaving the first blank) would do the job -- I'd like to be able
to present a stimulus to one eye only, and then switch to presenting it to
the other eye.
Thanks for any thoughts you might have!
Mark
