I just came across a forum post that describes how to get Powerstrip to allow you to adjust the refresh rates of both monitors independently, even if one is cloned off of the other one (normally, Powerstrip only lets you adjust the refresh rate of the primary monitor when in clone mode). Works like a charm: >1. Close PowerStrip if it is running >2. Open the pstrip.ini file in Notepad and add the following switch: > >[Global Options] >InactiveHeadSupport=1 > >3. Save the file back to disk and run PowerStrip. > >I haven't tested this in a while, but you should be able to select and >control the second head in PowerStrip "as if" it were enabled as an >indepedent display in Windows. Unfortunately, it still doesn't get around OpenGL's behaviour of slowing down the buffer swap rate to the refresh rate of the slower of the cloned monitors.
