Now Steve, I would have thought that to do that function, I should
press period. See how interpretations mess ya up? <grin>.\

Example is:
To open the bla bla window, press %KeyFor(name of script here).
So, if I put:
To open the transport window, press %KeyFor(TransportConsole).
which would display:
To open the transport window, press Control+Shift+T
If the script name changed:
To open the transport window, press %KeyFor(TransportConsoleWindow).
then the following would be displayed:
To open the transport window, press .
because that script no longer exists, as it's been named something else.

So, to fix, it takes someone to amend it, namely me.

Not talking about just punctuation.  You have a situation like, to do this
m, press that.  Except there's no that there.  Even if I scroll through the
message character by character, which eliminates verbosity as a factor, the
message is incomplete.

the help message is not incomplete! The punctuation is there. Your screen
reader needs to announce it.

I mean how can know what command initiates a function when the help msg

Open them? Don't you mean execute the functions? Are we possibly
talking about two different things when I thought we were on the same

Kevin,

I ran into this last July. It has to do with the way the help screen
is generated. If you look, either visually, or with the JAWS cursor,
at that line, you'll see something like this:

To do blah blah blah, press Shift-,

That's shift comma.

Or sometimes it looks like this:

To do blah blah blah, press .

Press period.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to display this stuff in
any other way.

Phil,
Noticed that, when listening to the plugin window help messages
available through JAWS H twice, the first three keystrokes for
entering Plugin, Program and Bypass say something like, “two enter
blah blah, press .  As if there were an answer missing.  I went
through this letter by letter to find this out.  You may wish to
take a look.
