Alt L is used to set volume options and when pressed 3 times quickly you can
alter whether the volume is changed to MIDI or audio etc. You can also
enable VCA groups and I always use at least one of those on all tracks and
busses.

Hi Quinten .
I suppose you have created a MIDI track to record on your Tyros. Now you
have to create an audio track to feed the Tyros' audio to Samplitude. So,
insert a new track, make sure it's an audio track and not a MIDI track, and
then the routing is done by pressing alt r twice, I think you can also
switch from MIDI to audio from there.
Alt r twice opens a menu where you can set a lot of record options, and alt
m twice opens a menu where you can set playback parameters. R is for record,
and m for mute, and mute has to do with playback, that's how I remember it.

Greetings all
Please understand that Im posting the following as an extreme novace to
Samplitude. Ive had the program for quite a few months now, but because of
a rather busy studio, I didnt want to switch over midway from Sonar through
a very busy period. However, I realize that I should take the plunge sooner
or later, so I have been playing around in Samplitude, already building a
few tracks successfully. At this point Id like to congratulate Steve, Phil,
Len and everyone else involved with making Samplitude accessible for all of
us.
Also, Im sure that Len will tell you that Ive driven him crazy over the
last few weeks with questions about this and that in Samplitude. Im sure he
must be suffering from Quinteraphobia every time he hears his phone ringing,
and its me on the other side of the line. :-)
The one thing Ive noticed, and I think it has been said on here previously,
is that the methods of accomplishing tasks in Samplitude differs quite a lot
from those in Sonar, and that one has to approach Samplitued with an open
mind and willing to adapt. Im sure that once you become fluent in
Samplitude, it will prove to be just as versatile and powerful as Sonar, if
not more.
My questions then:
I have to build a track in Samplitude, and despite all the vst synths I
have, there are a few sounds on my Tyros 4 which I need to use here.
When creating a new channel or track in Samplitude, how can I route it so
that I can set the midi and audio ports? When the track is finished, I must
also record the audio from the Tyros instrument I used, and at this point
the routing is also a problem, I cant seem to find the place where I can
route Samplitude to record from the specified audio channel on my sound
card.
Any help hear would really be appreciated.
My next question is regarding the WeChat protocol. Im eager to join the
Samplitude discussion group on there, and have therefore downloaded WeChat
and set up a profile.
I tried adding Len and Phil (as Phil suggested in another post). However I
cant find Phil, and Len is on tour, so hes not online much right now.
If anyone could please friend me and help me to join the Samplitude group
chat, my WeChat ID is QPendleQ
Thanks for hearing me out, I look forward to become much more involved with
this list and hopefully one day be able to also contribute meaningfully to
the Samplitude Access community.
All the best
