Hi Vincent, Really there is little configuration to be done when it comes to jaws and windows 7. As for jaws not reading the UAC screen, if this is a program you know to be safe that you are installing, simply pressing the key combination of "alt + Y" for yes to allow or "alt + N" for no if you wish not to install this software. Why jaws is not reading the screen, well what version of jaws do you have and who installed jaws, was it yourself?, a friend or whatever. Why I ask is that sometimes sighted people just don't follow the correct line of instruction when installing the types of software we use. Paul. -----Original Message----- From: vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of vincent stack Sent: 27 April 2010 17:23 To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] windows 7 problems hello Paul and others well I am finally getting rid of vista as I have had enough with it and jaws not reading stuff for me on it. so I got a windows 7 laptop. if someone has instructions to set it up for jaws it would be great.the first problem I found is when trying to install a program like spam fighter or any other program when the dialog box comes up asking do I want to continue with the installation jaws will not read out the dialog box nor can I tab around the box to the options. when I uninstalled nortons antivirus I was able to read and tab around this box. can someone suggest something for this.
