Thanks Paul. Now i have another query. I have to my delight tried a USB dongle
broadband. Now I have updated the computer which was dial-up and no way could I
update it before. I have Service Pack 3 now installed along with many more
updates. Question now is this. The computer is set to Automatic Updates so it
very kindly went and got me 72 updates. Two of these updates refer to Service
Packs 1 and 2 and will not install. That in itself is not the problem as
Service Pack 3 presumably has taken care of that. Now I have an icon in my
System Tray which says updates are ready for your computer. Click here to
install. I do this and I have 2 options, automatic or custom install. I tried
Automatic twice but as I say these 2 updates will not install. I get a message
to this effect after some time. Then I chose the custom install and unchecked
the radio button to install them. I then closed the window and restarted my
computer but again this icon appears in the system tray. How can I get it to
know that I do not ever now want these 2 updates? Sorry to have been so
long-winded about this but I was trying to give as clear a picture as possible.

Hi Eleanor,

Not sure if you still want this SP3 download. I only saw it now and it was in
my junk mailbox. Here is a direct link to it.
