Hi Vincent,
Going back to that same slider I mentioned in my previous mail, just pull it
down a little using the left arrow key and see how it goes.
Paul.

Hi Vincent,
For the screen size problem,
1. Go onto the desktop and with nothing on it selected, press the
application key.
2. Arrow down to personalize and hit enter. Tab key over to the
"display link" and hit with the spacebar.
3. Tab twice to a slider which should have a number on it, something
like 1024 by 780, if it has lower than this you need to use the right arrow
key to increase it to the size I have recommended or even higher if you
like.
4. Tab to the ok button and press enter to finish.
5. Alt + f4 to close.
Paul.

Hi Vincent,
"since making changes to my new vista laptop the other day so jaws can read
the screen proper I have been told by a sighted person that the screen is
unreadable. when I open something like itunes or internet I am told that the
window for the program is very narrow and in the middle of the screen. I
don't know if this is due to the changes I made or something else."
Vincent, When you open up a window such as ITunes or any other window, check
to make sure it is properly maximized. To do this while in the newly opened
up application, press and hold down the left alt key and hit the spacebar.
An Application window control menu will open up. Down arrow in this menu to
the "maximize" option and press enter. This should make the window bigger.
Use this technique for other windows also.
" also when in a dialog box and filling in something like a file name or
changing a track name in itunes it wont read out what is in the box when I
do control and arrow across or just arrow to read letters. can any one
suggest any thing to me please. hope I explained this proper. many thanks in
advance."
I think you should run a repair of your jaws application now that you have
made settings changes. To do this just place the jaws program CD back into
the CD drive and wait for it to load up. Press enter key on the "run
setup.exe prompt" and then after a time you will be given the option to
uninstall or repair jaws, choose "repair" by selecting the repair option and
pressing enter key.
See how this works out afterwards for you Vincent.
Paul.
