Hey Sean

yep if you open the talks menu.
talks key and star.
arrow to the right and then down arrow to curser
this can be changed to :
letters.
words
original.
Now you ask is there a short cut and the answer is yep as well.
pressing the talks key and hold down the number 2 button you can get the three options above.

good luck with it

Subject: [vip_students] texting with talks

Ahoy All

On receiving a text message, is it possible (using talks) to read the
message word by word & if necessary, character by character? The text
jargon of the sighted ones can be most confusing!

When creating a text message, is it possible to go to a new line to start a
new sentence?

Many thanks in advance!

Sean
