hi tom,
this happened to me not so long ago and it was the sim card had dislodged,
or could you have dislodged the battery when you dropped it? I would go in
to a phone shop and tell them what happened if you have no luck with the sim
card or battery. fortunately i had some one with me at the time who was able
to sort it out for me, like computers i am afraid of my phone in case i mess
it up.
