[vip_students] skype and microphones

Hey all 

i've just joined the skype world. however, when i did the  skype test talk i 
could not hear my own voice,  i was wondering would i have to buy a microphone 
headset or is there already a microphone built into the computer. if i have to 
buy one could someone tell me the best kind to get good but cheap!
