i have double-checked, though I have to say I was in no doubt *smile*, about the message tone, I have a variety of tones I can choose from and you will too so we just need to get you navagating through your phone so you understand clearly how to do this. 

Let's take an example.
We will choose Outdoor as your preferred Profile. To do this we will first of all need to set it as your preferred profile. 

To do this:

1. Go to Menu and arrow up or down to Settings and select this.
2. Now arrow down to Profiles and select this.
3. Arrow down to outdoor and select.
4. You will now hear Talks say activate, one of two. Activate this.You will hear talks say Activated profile and you will be thrown back in to the list which has of profiles. To check that you are in the correct place arrow up or down, if up you will her meeting and if down you will hear pager. Now arrow to Outdoor again and select. 5. Now when you get the message activate or personalise, arrow down to personalise. 6. Now you are in a window where you need to arrow down until you hear message alert tone and as you say you have a bleep then it should say message alert tone bleep. Select this. now you will her Talks say message alert tone blleep and just arrow down through the choices you have, take it slowly and listen to each as you go. When you come to one you like, just stay on it and exit out by pressing soft key 2, top right above the numeric keypad.

Hi All, Dorothy here,
It has taken me all this time to get a new Nokia C5 and I am having problems with it which Voda Fone say they can't put right!!!
I have read your instructions Elanor to check the ring but one of my problems is the text does not play the sound to let me know there is a new message, it just bleeps. The other problem is that when I am typing a message, it reads all the letters. e.g. when I type I it reads G and H and gets tangled up when I am typing my message.
The speech on my phone is Eloquence UK English and my old phone had Eloquence US English which was a lot better speech. Does anyone know how I can download Eloquence US English on to my phone?
