  Hi Rodney,

  Let us know a little more information for example;

  *. is jaws talking correctly?
  *. Are you using speakers attached to the computer or are the speakers built
into a laptop?.
  *. One of the major culprits, has anyone sighted been using your computer?.

  What you can try is the following;
  1. Open the start menu, then go into the programs menu and then to
accessories followed by down arrowing to the entertainment sub menu so right
arrow in here.
  2. Now arrow down to volume control and press the enter key.

  3. Now tab key just once and when jaws says "up down slider" press the page
up key to push it up to the top.

  4. Once that is done, press the tab key aanother 3 times to yet another up
down slider and again use the page up key to push it up to the top if it isn't
already, you will know it is as jaws might say "100%".

  5. Now press the tab key another few times till you come to the "CD volume"
and to its up down slider. Make sure this is also up to the 100% mark. Please
note that you should leave the "left right slider at 50% in all cases, only
concern yourself with the up down slider.

  6. Finally, tab along to each of the "checkboxes" and make sure that none of
these boxes are checked, if any of them is checked then use the spacebar to
uncheck it.

  7. When all this is done use keys "alt + F4" to close out of the volume
control and try another CD.

  Paul.
