Outlook Express was used, with her maiden name. We will assume outlook Express here.

Now, to change the name:
-- Susan, from the message list go into tools | Accounts - alt-t, then a;

-- Press the Tab key in the mail tab about four times, and then press spacebar on the properties... button;

-- You are now in the General tab; if not, left-arrow there;

Press the tab key once, and you come to the name edit field. Here you can edit your name.

-- having amended your name, you can tab to and activate the OK button, or, if you would prefer to see it before you change it, tab past OK to the Apply button and activate with the spacebar

-- Finally, tab to and activate the OK button.
See how it goes then.
