No, I don't think there is a way you can make one view always the default.
i.e., the view the document was set to will be the one it will
open in when you get it.

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if there is a way to set your view menu to always open up
documents in print layout view.  I receive a lot of word documents via email
in work and each time I open one and not just for the first time it's in
reading layout and I have to change it.  It's not a major problem just
really annoying and a little time consuming.  Just wondering if anybody had
any suggestions?
