[vip_students] Re: Very Sick Netbook

Thanks Bert, I have read this information and note it is a Pro version and a 30 day trial. Is there a standard version? Did you purchase it?

I have used the programme you recommended and found it very good for clearing out rubbish. Now the jonly stubbern thing I have is Google Croome key remaining in the Registry. Paul recommended me installing Google Croome again and deinstalling which I did but this did not solve the problem and that one stubbern error remains!!! It was great for clearing out Temp files junk too and on this computer I am using at present when I ran it first it cleared up over eight hundred errors!!!! Now on the netbook that I am having the problem installing the K1000 it cleared up over a hundred the first time.

Hi Eleanor,
I would be very careful of those programs that tell you that you have a load
of errors.
I was doing the same trawling around the net for a similar tool and all I got were evaluation copies until my son-in-law told me about glary utilities
available at www.glaryutilities.com.
This is free for home use.
It will check registry, hard drive and spyware and also if you tick the last item in the list it will delete stubborn bits of programs that refuse to go
in the add-remove facility.
You will need to use Jaws cursor to work this program but once you select
1-click option the tab will speak the options.
Aedan.

Subject: [vip_students] Very Sick Netbook

Hi All
I have a Samsung NC10 and it is brilliant. I would not know it was so sick but for trying to install K1000. I have had another fatal error on start-up and am hoping someone can help or even provide me with a programme fix which maybe you could let me have via dropbox or sendspace. The error I am having when the machine boots up is 80004005 and sadly I Googled it and learn that such an error occurs when one has not maintained one's computer. I thought I was maintaining it by doing Defragmentation and running TuneUp Utilities but there you are! I downloaded some sort of error tool and it diagnosed 217 errors!!!! but when I clicked Fix it wanted me to Register the software
so I gave up on that one as I could not be sure if this involved me in
payment or if what I had downloaded was genuine. It probably was but where all you guys and lassies come in, is hopefully someone might have a tool I
could use to fix all these errors or something like that. Many thanks.
Perhaps if I resolved this error I might get to install K1000. Sight and
Sound have told me the problem is my computer and not K1000 and sadly I
believe them.!

Eleanor
