hello Mairead,
as far as I know the accapella voices only work with TextaLoud.
I have the kurzweil program loaded so I am able to use Kate or Paul.

Subject: [vip_students] Using accapela voices for NVDA
Hi all,
I have installed the stable version of NVDA on my computer and I am
very impressed with it. A lot of the key strokes are very simular to
how Jaws works. I read somewhere that you can install the accapella
voices and use one of them as the default voice for NVDA. I installed
one of the voices in to all programmes but when I went to change the
voice it didn't seem to add in to where the other voices are. I would
appreciate it if anyone could let me know how to add this voice to the
list. The voice I have from accapella is Heather. I use to use text
aloud before for something and this was one of the voices that was
compatible with it.
Thanks in advance
Mairead

Hi Paul,
NVDA now looks very interesting as it now has a review mode that is
similar
to Jaws cursor.
However, the beta version has crashed my computer twice so far. How have
you
found it?
