Also, a DVD will normally have much more content than a single CD can take. best to get either a blank DVD+r or a blank DVD-R.

Susan,

Seems to me you need a blank DVD. (it feels the same as a CD, but isn't.)

Hi All I recently came across a free piece of software which works very well with screen readers and I am sure magnification also. It is called Express Burn and I have given a download link in this article on where to download it from. Below are the instructions for burning an audio CD using MP3 files on your computer onto a blank disk using Express Burn, the files can be
MP3's of music, songs or books.

1. Download and install the Express Burn CD burning software from the link
provided here; http://www.nch.com.au/components/burnsetup.exe

2. Install the software, it only takes a moment and the installation is very quick and easy, just agree to the license and keep pressing spacebar on
next.

Once the installation is complete Express Burn will load up for the first
time. The screen will have the following controls;
- Music Files Window which will be empty as you haven't added any songs to
it yet.
- Add Files Button.
- Add Folder Button.
- Edit with wave pad button.
- CD-Text button.
- Play Button.
- Stop Button.
- Burn Audio CD Button.

To move to any of the controls above, press the tab key. To activate any of
the controls, use the spacebar.

3. Tab over to the "Add files" button and press the spacebar.
4. When the "Open Files" screen comes up, type in the location of the music files on your computer. If you don't know where the files are located then press the keys, "Shift + tab" key till you are on the drives and folders window list. This can be one reverse tab on XP or two reverse tabs on
windows 7.
Note: A reverse tab is the keys, "Shift + Tab"
5. Once on the Drives and folders list, use the arrow keys to move up or down and left or right until you locate the folder where your music files
are stored.
6. Press enter key on the folder where the music files are stored. If all the files within this folder are to be burned to the CD, press the keys, "control + A" to select all of them then press the enter key to have them
added to the Express Burn files window.
Notes: Remember that most audio CD's take about 18 songs so exceeding this
may cause you problems.
Now when you return to the previous home screen the window that was
previously empty will have files in it ready for burning.
Notes: If a folder where you have music stored has more files in it than you wish to burn to an audio CD then just select the ones from the folder that you want to add to your CD and then press enter key to add them into the
burn window.
To just select individual files, press and hold down the Control key and then arrow down the list of files. Each file that you want to add to the burn window, press the spacebar on it. Remember to continue keeping the control key held down till you have selected all of the music tracks then release it and press the enter key to have the files added to the burn
project.
Note: If you wish to add some text onto the CD, just tab over to the CD Text Button and press spacebar. An edit box will come up and you can type in a meaningful title or something like that which will appear on the CD When it
has finished burning.
You can also press the "Play button, The Stop button" if you wish to listen to the files prior to burning them. If all you want to do is just burn the
music files then tab on to the "Burn Button" and press the spacebar.

7. When you press spacebar on the "Burn Button" the following items will
come up;
- A combo box which contains the drive letter of your CD/DVD burner.
- Write speed combo box, use arrow keys here to change the speeds. I
normally set mine to "16" as I find it works best when using the CD later. - Copies to burn combo box, use arrow keys to determine how many copies of
the CD you want to burn.
- Use Over Burn checkbox, not really a good idea and only used if you are
trying to cram more songs onto a blank CD than it can really hold.
- Finalise disk checkbox checked. This indicates to your audio CD that no
more writing is possible to this disk.
- Use default track pause, radio button checked, this is what determines how
much space there are between song/music tracks on the CD.
- Burn Button, press the spacebar here to begin the burn process.

Note: Burning can take a while so be patient with it and when it finishes
the CD door will open up with the completed product.
