no luck tony, but thanks for that, it's probably some thing simple that I'm not 
aware of. I seem to be able to select it ok but when I hit control c to copy it 
says nothing. as I say I do this on the ordinary youtube site and every thing 
is fine, no problems at all.

  On hitting alt and D for the address line then do shift and end to select it 
and proceed and see how you go then.

  Must now go and get my problem with the programme hopefully sorted.

    I follow your instructions but when I tab I don't get a paste option, that's
    with yourtube, but with the main youtube site every thing is ok. knowing me
    it's probably some thing I'm doing wrong. do you know what this might be?
