Hi Eleanor, When you mention the side bar are you talking about the "Windows 7 Sidebar"?. If so the use keys, "Winkey + Spacebar" to get focus of the sidebar. Next either right click on it with the mouse and choose properties or alternatively use the application key and choose properties. In here uncheck the checkbox that says something like "Start side bar when windows starts". OK it then and restart the laptop to see if it is still there or not. Paul. -----Original Message----- From: vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Eleanor Burke Sent: 11 August 2012 22:08 To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] Re: Problems with Laptop It is not running in the background John. Isn't the idea that I can use it? Well I can't! Furthermore I do have some vision and I can see that it is not opening. However, thanks for all your help indeed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John O'Regan" <john.a.oregan@xxxxxxxxx> To: <vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, August 11, 2012 9:59 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: Problems with Laptop > Hi Eleanor! > > Don't know why all your windows are small.
