Excellent thank you Paul, I found another very strange way of converting it to Word. I hadn't a clue what I was doing but it worked! I right clicked on the file and there was something about convert with K1000 and there was an joption to convert image. I did that and another screen opened and I was asked what file type so I choose RTF/Word and then it began converting and told me it was converted in xxx seconds. I could not find anything more in this Window though there was a Browse button. I just closed it down, went to Mr Documents and jfound it there and it was just fine. I will remember the Print option too as I had forgotten that, thanks Flor.

Eleanor,Open it with Kurzweil 1000. If that's not possible (if you are using an earlier version), then open it in Adobe and print it. In the print dialogue choose KESI Virtual Printer, and enter of course. Kurzweil 1000 will then process and recognize the image file, and you will hear it progressing. when it is done it will start to read it. then save it as .doc .. You will find the formats in the save-as dialogue by tabbing in the dialogue.----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 13, 2011 7:58 PM Subject: [vip_students] Pdf Image File Using K1000 Hi AllI have a 10 page pdf image file and want K100 to translate it. It is all text. Then I want to save it in Word but I cannot for the life of me work out with K1000 as to how I go about doing this. I looked in Scan but that is requiring my scanner. This is a document on my computer.Eleanor
