Hi Frank A new comer to the list has to join via Paul Traynor as it is Paul who has set this up and we all got our membership from Paul. You do not say what type of attachment you want to read. If it is an e-mail attachment open it in the usual way and see what happens. You can highlight the attachment and then save to My Documents or whatever folder you want to save to. Then go and Open it. You are then likely to get a message if you cannot open the file and it is easier to take it from there. I have Windows 2000 on this computer and open all cocuments sent to me by my friend who isusing Windows Vista. It's all abut having the correct software on your system. If she sends me a Word file then I open it via Word, if an imagefile, I have different image software packages to open it. Hope this helpsa little.
