I am interested you are reading law. I am too and have pdf files. I am
wondering if your pdf files are graphic only so that they cannot be modified by
anyone, e.g. I have a pdf converter and can make my pdf files into word
documents. I do have some vision and if you would like to send one to me as an
attachment I will let you know what I think. You refer to the cursor down,
have you tried the page down also because your settings may be set to read one
page at a time rather than the whole document at a time. My e-mail address is
eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and if you click on this link you should open iin a
new e-mail to me. Then send me one attachment and I will give you an opinion.
My pdf files are especially designed for visually impaired students with access
technology but not all pdf files are thus designed. Hope this helps.

Hi Paul,
i down loaded the latest edition of the software through the link that you
sent me and also have maximised the screen just in case. Unfortunately, i
still can't read the rest of the file.
The pdf attachments i have are notes and other material from a course in Law
i'm undertaking and when i enter on the attachment the following is read out by
jaws only,
"constitutional law for the summer of 2008"
The same is read out by jaws for the other attachments which read out
criminal and contract law etc.
and that's all it says as the down arrow key can't go any further down the
document. It says nothing about accessibility etc.
The size of the pdf attachments range in size from about 1.9 mb to about 2.2
mb's

Hi Seoirse
,
Do you have the latest version of the adobi reader?. This is version 8.02 I
think. I will paste below the download link just in case. Also when you opened
up the PDF document did jaws indicate to you that the reader wanted to set some
accessibility features in order to read the document correctly for you. What
happens if you use your arrow keys to read this document and also, have you
maximised the PDF document screen. Alt + spacebar followed by letter X.
Here is the link for the current adobi reader for anyone who needs it.

Hi everyone,
i'm having with my pdf attachments. When i open my pdf documents my Jaws
software (version 8) reads maybe the first two sentences of the attachments and
reads no more.
Does anyone know why this may be ?
I'd appreciate any advice....
Cheers,
Seoirse
