Hi Roslyn,

Try the following:

Enter the JAWS Configuration manager with JAWSKey+6: (and then ctrl-shift-d 
if you want to also change the behaviour in default).

Alt-s for Set Options.
T for Text Options.

Tab through the dialogue, until you come to the 'Ddetect languages' 
(checkbox checked).  press spacebar to uncheck it.
(Exit Configuration manager; and agree to save changes, if prompted.)
JAWS then should no longer speak words and phrases through another language.

Hi everyone,

I'm having some problems lately with my work laptop.  I'm using Windows XP 
and JAWS 9.0.

JAWS is reading some material in German.  All the settings on the laptop/PC 
they are being emailed to me from are in English and I presume mine are, I 
never set it to anything different.  It's just random phrases and sentences 
in the middle of a document.

Any ideas?
