[vip_students] IPhone: Backing up contacts to your computer!

If you wish to back up your IPhone contacts to your computer do the
following;

1. Open up ITunes and have your IPhone connected to your computer via its
USB cable.
2. Arrow down to "Devices" or sometimes pressing the letter "D" will jump
you onto it then right arrow once and down arro once onto your IPhones name.
3. Press the tab key till you reach "Info button not checked" and check it
with the spacebar.
4. Now press the tab key again approximately "9 times", it may be different
on your computer till you reach "Sync contacts, checkbox checked" and press
the spacebar.
5. Press the tab key once more and you will be in a list box where you press
the spacebar once to activate it then press the letter "W" to jump onto the
Windows Address Book if you are using Windows XP but if you are using
Windows 7 then the choices here may be different and as I use Microsoft
Outlook on my computer I have an entry for Outlook as my default contacts
address list which I have chosen.
6. If you have gone for the normal "Windows Address Book" which is used by
Outlook Express then that is fine so now press the tab key again till you
reach, "Apply Button" where you'll press the spacebar to begin.
7. Before ITunes begins backing up your contacts you may be asked if you
wish to "Merge or replace items", tab to the "Merge Option" and press the
spacebar to continue with the backup.
Notes: This process will take a few moments and once it has completed ITunes
will sound a jingle noise to indicate its finished. Close out of ITunes and
remove your IPhone.
