[vip_students] Re: Fw: [IRELANDVIPNEWS] braillite

In case the conversation pertains to myself, which it obviously does. I use the BNS as a note taker but have other means of taking notes. I am very fond of it indeed and realize its worth, being able to braille documents as well as print them. The equipment in total would have cost me at the time 1,800 pounds sterling. It is by no means obselete to me. I was only responding to a question raised on the list and feel it is best not to have this thread go on and on though I thank Tony for his point.

Hi Tony
This is just my personal opinion.
We have all purchased technology and, at the time of purchase, the piece of equipment seems invaluable to us and then, as technology advances, a better product comes along that suits our needs better and, we buy the new product, leaving the old one lying idle. It is nice, where possible, to sell this item but, I imagine that if someone were to have the money, they would prefer to buy the more up-to-date product rather than buying something that is obsolete unless this is a product that they still found useful for some reason. I would prefer to see someone using a piece of equipment than for it to sit in a drawer in my desk gathering dust. If the piece of equipment could help another visually impaired person, then i'd gladly give it away!

Just my thoughts
Joan Ann.

Hi

Wonder if someone has purchased a product, and not too cheaply indeed, then why should that person be expected to then give that away when obvviously it is in good order?

Should we be all wealthy then I'm sure that we'd be happy to give things away!

Anyway price negotiations off list I trust!

I wonder did you ever get a response to this. I would have have what you are looking for but I would want to sell it and it would be expensive.
