Eleanor,

Several of these voices could be purchased at www.nextup.com/ >. Not
allJAWS users appreciate the JAWS-proprietary version of Eloquence equally,
and I myself have reservations about it quality, too. It was, probably, in
recognition of this - that many people get tired of [JAWS] Eloquence's
rapid-fire tones while reading longer documents - that Freedom Scientific
decided to make
available other speech synthesizers(which we've been discussing), as a
'goodwill
moment'. Eloquence, also, is slightly different in its 'open' version
(which is used with kurzweil 1000 version 11) than the locked-down or
proprietary version which is used with JAWS.

That is very interesting indeed Flor. I must try it out. I have to say as
it came in the CD pack with Jaws I naturally assumed it was part of it.
