Hi All,

Here is the procedure for downloading updates which are offered to you via
the automatic update process of windows XP. Try and see if you can do it.

1. While on the desktop those of you who use magnification, look down where
the clock is and see if you are getting a notice telling you that updates
are available for your computer. Jaws users, use keys: "insert + F11" to
bring up a list of icons and then use the down arrow to see what each item
in the list is about. Again if you come to an icon saying that updates are
available, use the tab key once until jaws says; "right mouse click" and
press the enter key.

Magnification users should press the right mouse click on the update icon
shown in the system tray and then left click on install now if you are
prompted.
Jaws users, hit the spacebar on the "install now" prompt.

3. You may be presented with a license agreement so if this is the case use
the tab key to get to the "accept button" and press the "space bar" n it.
Magnification users, just left click on the "accept button".

4. Now the updates will begin to download themselves to your computer. Many
times once the updates have been successfully downloaded to your PC the
process may come up with a dialogue box when finished. If t his happens it
usually means it is prompting you for something. In most cases this will be
that it wishes to "restart" the computer so tab key to the restart button
and hit the spacebar. Soon afterwards the computer will shut down and then
restart itself once more. All this is perfectly normal.

Take a look at your computer when you read this and see if it is telling you
that updates are available for download and give it a go.

Paul.
