As long as i have been using avast i have never been told i have a virus but when i had a v g it would tell me every now and then i had a virus. I had another virus package for a while which told me on a regular basis i had a virus but it became buy only. you couldn't get a free version of it.

Frank, Mind if I jump in here! Presumably all your updates are coming in and so you are doing your scan, instructions from this list or wherever! Now when your scan is complete are you told that there 0 viruses or not Before perhaps I feel an answer can be fully given. A wrong answer given by me or anyone else regarding this subject in particular could perhaps have not a great result! Now regarding Avast, is there a scan for incoming emails and such whichcanbe set up or is that programme for scanning within the computer? Can it scan incoming or no? No matter if it doesn't but would like to know! Have a great weekend all! Thanks Tony -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter. We are a community of 5.8 million users fighting spam.
